EXCELLENT INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The Workforce Educational Organization (WEO) is seeking college and grad school level interns to support the organization’s efforts to launch a professional certification program. The WEO is a unique non-profit organization devoted to producing and deploying innovative educational programs around time and labor management business practices and technologies. The WEO is focused on employer and employee issues in the workplace such as timekeeping, labor scheduling, attendance management, workforce analytics and the technologies that manage these functions. Interns will interface directly with WEO Board Members and Committee Members who are executives in the private industry and serve in volunteer roles for the WEO. The WEO’s work will represent the interests of every sector in the market place from a variety of angles including finance, IT, legal and compliance, Human Resources, operations and payroll. Interns will be selected based on their studies, career interests and ability to deliver.
Interns will be tasked with research and cataloging, membership drives, managing web content, creating and launching funding initiatives, marketing, and networking in the pursuit of Workforce Asset Management Certification. In addition, interns may support the writing and publication of a new book working closely with the authors and publisher.
Although this is an unpaid internship, the exposure and direct contact with seasoned, senior level business professionals and thought leaders, some with very large national and international companies, will prove invaluable as you launch your career. The WEO values our interns’ contributions and will assist qualified candidates in their job search.
Qualifications:
Excellent writing skills
Presentation skills
Interest in technology, finance, marketing, publishing, human resources, or non-profits
Sales or fund raising experience preferred
Market research experience a plus
Experience working with business leaders, executives and business owners
Completed at least two years of college; GPA 3.0 or higher
Proficient in MicroSoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience with Joomla a plus
Experience with Constant Contact or other email distribution software a plus
Almost all work is done from the intern’s virtual office. Schedules can be flexible around classes and other jobs.
